DIY ALERT
My great friend Diane is the powerhouse behind DIY Alert. She's got all the local Portland craft info you could possibly want!
If you haven't already checked it out, you should! Get on her mailing list and keep up on all the latest events. www.diyalert.com
And to that end, because Diane is already doing it, and I've become too busy to keep up the goings on in town -- that's going to be your best resource to keep your finger on the pulse.
Feel free to drop me an e-mail.

Lov.li FAIR - JUNE 3rd
DIY Alert and Lov.li are co-sponsoring a craft fair this June, called The Lov.li Fair. And we're looking for both vendors and volunteers!
-----------------------------------------------VENDORS:
Here's the details: The fair will be Sunday, June 3rd from 11-4. (And from 10-11, we're offering a special learning, networking, and excitement-building reception just for our vendors!)
The Lov.li Fair will be held at RonTom, which is at 600 E Burnside. We have space for 40 vendors at both inside and outside tables.
This will be a 21 and over event, with food and cocktails available from RonTom's menu. We'll also have a live DJ and make-and-take tables.
Booths are free, and we take no commission from sales at all. Booth spaces measure about 5' x 3'. We do have some specially-sized booths for people selling large-scale art or clothing, so please do contact us if you have any specific needs. In most cases, you will need to bring your own table and lighting (there are plenty of plug-ins). We have a limited number of round tables, so if you're interested in reserving one of these, please let us know. They are first-come, first-served.
To be a vendor at this show, you just need to be a member of Lov.li, selling work on that site. It's free and easy to create an account. Go to http://www.lov.li/. This show is juried, so please have some pieces of your work listed on Lov.li that represent what you'd like to sell at the show.
Here's a link to more details about the show. http://lov.li/events/118.
If you're interested in being a vendor, head over to http://www.lov.li/ and message Patrick. (His username is expatrick.)
----------------------------------------------VOLUNTEERS:
We need two people to run make-and-take tables for us. In return for your time, we'll place a free ad for your business/website in our event program. And you are also welcome to distribute flyers for your business at the table. If you're interested in volunteering, please email me at sisterdg@churchofcraft.org.

The resulting pile of clothes represents the core ingredient of the event—from this pile, old clothes will get a new lease on life!
Workshops will be available so you can alter, embellish, and otherwise transform these old garments into fabulous new fashion.
Bring at least two bags of clothes that you don't want/can't wear anymore, plus any embellishments, like leftover beads, sequins, ribbon, feather boas, etc.
Needle and thread is very welcome, and please bring your own pair of sewing scissors if you have 'em. (We'll make sure you label it with your name on it -- we get pretty attached to our scissors, too.)
